Gisma University of Applied Sciences was established in 1999. Since its inception, it has evolved from a local provider of executive education into an international academic institution. Headquartered in Potsdam and with a campus in Berlin, Gisma has been a part of Global University Systems (GUS) since 2013. GUS is a network of international universities and educational institutions united by a commitment to practical and accessible educational qualifications.
In 2020, Gisma was recognised as a University of Applied Sciences by the German federal state of Brandenburg and granted degree-awarding powers. This milestone was marked by the opening of a new flagship campus in Potsdam and an expansion of its academic portfolio. The university now offers programs in areas such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Engineering, with degrees awarded directly by Gisma University of Applied Sciences. Notably, our AMBA-accredited Global MBA programme exemplifies our commitment to providing top-tier business education.
