University of Europe for Applied Sciences Supports Girls’ Education in Kolkata with a €5,000 Donation
Kolkata, India – February 2025 – The University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) is committed to making a difference in education worldwide. As part of this mission, UE proudly contributed €5,000 to support the Loreto Rainbow Homes Foundation in Kolkata, India, an organization dedicated to providing shelter, education, and brighter futures for underprivileged girls.
Education as a Pathway to Change
Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and opening doors to opportunity. Recognizing this, UE’s Managing Director Ernst Suganandarajah personally visited the Loreto Rainbow Homes Foundation in Kolkata, alongside:
- Barbara Voss, Consul General of the German Consulate General in Kolkata
- Tom R., Regional Director of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce
During their visit, the delegation presented the €5,000 donation on behalf of UE Germany and distributed small gifts to the children, bringing joy and encouragement to the young students.
“Education is the key to a better life. Our contribution may be just a drop in the ocean, but you have to start somewhere to make a lasting impact,” said Ernst Suganandarajah, emphasizing the importance of supporting educational initiatives.
Empowering Girls Through Education
The Loreto Rainbow Homes Foundation provides girls from disadvantaged backgrounds with not just shelter and safety but also education and opportunities to build a brighter future. The foundation works to empower young women, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to pursue their dreams.
At UE, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education and the chance to learn, grow, and create a future full of possibilities. This initiative reflects our commitment to global education and social responsibility, reinforcing the transformative power of learning.
Education changes lives, and UE is honored to be part of this meaningful journey.
